Yesterday, Asia welcomed the Year of the Dragon, with a cacophony of fireworks, hoping that the most powerful sign in the Chinese zodiac will start the year 2012 in the wealth and power it represents. Malaysia to South Korea via China and Vietnam , millions of people have traveled great distances to meet with their families to celebrate the Lunar New Year, the most important festival of the year for many in Asia.

ASEAN should work on visa regulations and connectivity according to the WTO
To become a unique tourist destination in 2015, ASEAN countries must first work on their visa regulations, travel facilities and air connectivity, recently said the World Tourism Organization (WTO). “The potential of the region is large, it is one of the fastest growing regions in the world. The many efforts and resources will only make the area even better, “said Taleb Rifai Secretary General of UNWTO Thursday during the ASEAN Tourism Forum in Manado, North Sulawesi.
